Where the money goes
Running the engine has three parts. Claude grades each chapter and writes its first line (and, when a chapter's site is thin, researches its Instagram, email and officers). Sending inboxes and the sending platform deliver the emails. Hosting and the database keep this dashboard and every chapter record running. Usage-based costs grow with how many chapters we grade and research, while subscriptions are flat no matter how many we reach.
Usage numbers come straight from each service's API calls, logged as they happen. Subscription amounts are set with python -m engine set-cost.
